Custom Configured Servers (for Rockland / White Plains & Tarrytown)

Rackmount Servers

A Rack or Rackmounted Server is a drive dedicated to use as a server, which is designed to sit on a framework called a rack. The rack has multiple bays, each of which is designed to hold a hardware unit in place with screws. Many Rackmount Servers range in size from 1U to 5U, and feature a proven level of high reliability and excellent performance.

High-Density Servers

A High-Density Server is one which contains a large number of Central Processing Units (CPUs) that can be swapped in and out on its own circuit board. It allows you to operate and maintain multiple systems in a single physical space. Using this design, you are able to increase computing density, but reduce cost, energy and space needs. This is a great solution for HPC computing clusters, data center/farm, and search engine nodes, among other applications.

Blade Servers

A blade can be a single server or an element that connects to a single cabinet. It can also be an individual port card that adds connectivity to a switch. Typically, blades are a hot swappable piece of hardware, which means they can be replaced while the computer system is on. Blade Servers offer a wealth of advantages over other systems, including maximum affordability, lower management costs, less power consumption and high scalability.

GPU Servers

A GPU server makes use of both a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and a Central Processing Unit (CPU). They generate unparalleled processing power, and maximum flexibility with up to 5 GPUs in a 1U. Together, they speed up scientific, analytics, engineering, consumer and enterprise applications. Their performance and quality is designed for the most complex and computation-intensive applications, including HPC environments, mission-critical applications, medical imaging, oil and gas simulation, quantum chemistry, financial simulation, astrophysics and more.

Pedestal or Tower Servers

A Pedestal Server consists of a multi-purpose server configuration optimized for non-rack applications. They are a great fit for small businesses that don’t need dedicated servers or a rack-dense server solution. Designed specifically for amazing performance and high data availability, Pedestal (or Tower) Servers are optimized for business critical applications, such as corporate networking, email and web servers, NAS and databases.

Storage Servers

These servers have the highest drive density with maximum storage capacity and performance, but take up very little space. They are ideal for Enterprise, Data Center and Cloud Computing environments. They have hot-swappable drives, very efficient power supplies and cooling fans, and provide excellent availability and simple maintenance.

File Server Features

RAID

RAID (or redundant array of independent disks) is a type of data storage virtualization technology that includes numerous physical hard disk drives in one logical unit. Its main purposes are storing redundant data (multiple copies of the same data) and improving performance. It can serve both purposes simultaneously if it is configured to do so. There are many levels of RAID, including RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 10, among others.

All Flash NVMe Systems

NVMe stands for non-volatile memory, and is generally used for the task of secondary or long-term persistent storage. It has the capability to hold saved data even if power is suddenly turned off. It does not require its memory data to be periodically refreshed. It is very popular among digital, and is used in memory chips for USB memory sticks and digital cameras. Non-volatile memory removes the need for slower types of secondary storage, including hard disk drives.

Onsite and Offsite Replication

We can set up a wide variety of effective replication among computers and servers, ensuring you have multiple copies of the same data on multiple storage devices, and that you have consistency between redundant resources, including software and hardware components. This improves reliability, fault-tolerance and accessibility. We can setup both onsite and offsite data replication. It is very important to have copies of your data offsite in case of fire, flood or theft.

NAS

Network-attached storage (NAS) is file-level data storage on a computer server connected to a network, which provides data access to a heterogeneous group of clients. NAS can serve files through hardware, software or configuration. In simpler terms, a NAS unit is a computer connected to a network that only provides file-based data storage to other devices on the same network. While it is possible to run other software on a NAS unit, it is not designed as a general purpose server. NAS units typically do not have a keyboard or monitor, and are configured and controlled over a network, most often using a browser.

Solid State Drive File Servers

Solid State Drives (SSD) provide many benefits over traditional, magnetic Hard Disk Drives. They are quicker, lighter, completely silent and have a lower work temperature. In addition, they don’t have any moving mechanical parts, which equals a super quick response time and a great resistance to shocks. We can configure any kind of Solid State Drive file server for your office needs.

Any Configuration

We have extensive experience setting up a wide array of custom file server configurations, and will go over all your options in detail. We will determine your needs, and consult with you to choose the most appropriate file server solution. Whether you need 5 drives or 50, we will custom-tailor your file server with any hard drive capacity, RAM and CPU configuration imaginable. Whether your file server budget is $500 or $50,000, you can rely on Super Software for any of your custom file server builds, configurations and installations.

Fully-Configured and Documented

Our server installation will be configured to your exact needs, and ready to use right away. All our file servers come complete with Windows Licensing, including Windows Server 2008, 2012 or 2016.

Ready To Go
